Carl is the Chief Director of Eco Japan, which supplies Hotels & Resorts with environmentally friendly amenities while encouraging the elimination of single use plastics and providing clients with GREEN solution consulting. On a volunteer level Carl leads the NPO CHURAMURA – an Ocean Conservation Agency focusing on Sea Turtle habitats and beach cleaning operations.

Carl is Managing Director of non-profit Okinawa Coastal Protection Alliance  (OCPA) which coordinates prefecture wide efforts in marine conservation focusing on saving the Endangered Sea Turtles through a volunteer organization called CHURAMURA.

Carl has been an active member of AmCham Okinawa since 2010, Governor and Chairman of two committees, Tourism & Hospitality Committee and also the Sustainability Committee.

Memberships:  Australian & New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Japan (ANZCCJ), Yomitan Chamber of Commerce, Yomitan Tourism Association, GreenGlobe, Japan Sea Turtle Association

A 20+ year expat from Australia, Carl loves the simple life of Yomitan countryside, enjoying sunsets, surfing, free-diving, and golf. Carl has been an active member of AmCham Okinawa since 2010, Governor since 2013, Tourism & Hospitality Committee Chairman since 2012 and now also the Sustainability Committee Chairman.
