It is with much regret that we have accepted the resignation of Dr. Ray Welch as 2nd Vice President and a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Okinawa due to personal reasons. We sincerely thank Ray for his significant and valued contribution over the years and express our hope that his personal circumstances will allow him to join the Chamber again in the future.
Further to this, under Section 23 of the Constitution and By-Laws, the Board is required to elect a replacement. Our Nomination Committee provided the board with preferred candidates for a 2nd Vice President and any positions left vacant subsequent to this appointment.
